Cats Protection put out a competition, to anyone with a 'special' cat who deserved recognition for some reason, from saving their lives as in anorexia, a fire, a health condition, depression, diabetes and so on.
The categories, http://www.cats.org.uk/get-involved/nca and the nominees are.
Tilly and Lunar being two of these, both helping their owners who both have ehlers danlos syndrome, and through the wonder of technology the owners have met online offering each other vital support.
Wondering if Tilly and Lunar will ever get paw-mail too one day?
There are constant media releases for the nominees currently, radio, newspapers, photo shoots, to filming. This is great awareness for the conditions we have, but also be aware we have to fit around out many appointments which are so many; and our frequent differenting health.
And you thought all a cat did was purr?

FREEDOM
I was missing for four months, and my human owner got told when I was found, not to let me outside for at least first two or three months; what hell this has been.
For the first two months I have been racing around inside, pinning that I can't go outside, yet able to see through the patio doors the garden, what a tease. That's not right surely, is it?
Despite my limited vision I can still some movement out there, the birds landing the other side other of glass and when the others get to go outside; so those two months have been a long hard testing time.
And I have been running everyone ragged by racing wild indoors, jumping up everything, acting like I'm on catnip super powered, and hassling the elderly cat so much; the poor gal. My human owner has aged so much in those two months apparently.
Well today just before evening meal, the patio door opened and the other two didn't get squeezed out as usual. This was the usual routine to prevent me shooting outside and running off again and going missing again.
Today was the best day in history, 28th February 2017 it happened, rare disease day, (my human owner has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and so does my playmate I live with), today the door opened wide and left wide open and I was in Invited over. I snuck over, as by now I knew I'm not meant to go out and if I get anywhere near the the door it closes. But today it stayed open!
I felt the cold slab underneath my paws, the rain on my fur, I sniffed the plants, I could smell where other neighbouring cats had scented too, and due to my lack of vision I was banging into everything too; but this was freedom and the smell of fresh air.....
BLISS
I got called back in within three minutes for my evening meal, the smell of my food, lambs.heart and kidney in my bowl, enticing me back in. And I did go back in, much to my human owners relief. She has been worrying about that day for so long.
But those three minutes of freedom felt like a lifetime to be outside, after being couped up inside for a lifetime.
Now my one question is, when is my next freedom visit outside, and can I mount the fence next time; or do you think my human owner may have a bit of heart panic over that?
One content kitty here for sure.
~Bye

TRIO UPDATES
Well hello, I have decided to take over the paw typing instead of the usual paws for today.
I have some wonderful news to tell you about the house that I run, and my human lives with me in.
My human let me stay on my comfy chair in the lounge today, whilst she went out; whereas usually my human tells me I have to go into the other room and be shut in there.
This time I was allowed to stay in the lounge with all the breakables whilst she wasn't home.
Two hours ish later she returned home and no breakages,
Nothing knocked over, and nothing had been squished flat either.
Secretly I had been snoozing the whole time; but I wont tell my human that.
So from now on I am allowed to be in lounge and have the run of the house whilst my human is out.
That's a bit outdated telling you as I so slow typing.
This is a huge step for me, considering I have only lived here for a short while and we are still getting to know each other. The other fur paw who lives here too, well the human calls him many things, sometimes he is chicken nugget, sexy prince, his name, and so on.
Anyway chicken nugget and I are getting on much better now, I still hiss at him now and again, but what is to be expected when you have a bouncing chicken nugget coming from behind you, and suddenly surprises you; he terrifies you.
And other great news little worm who was missing has been found a few weeks ago, so chicken nugget and him are thick as thieves now, they walk joined at hip, it's funny to watch especially at doorways. Little worm is blind now but he's coping well.
I secretly run the house and have key place on the bed too beside the pillow, human moves across the bed to accommodate me, and chicken nugget either sleeps in kitchen on his chair each night with little worm. You can see its all how I say when it comes to bedtime.
But we love it that way.
I'm not sure what human calls me apart from princess paws when I sit on her and I'm so delicate yet I should weigh so heavy. Talking about weight, I've lost a whole kilo apparently since I moved in, not sure where that kilo went. I'm sorry I lost it, I hope my human owner isn't mad I lost it she seems happy though about it.
So I guess I sign off,
Princess Paws
